ADDERBURY, a village, two townships, and a parish, in Banbury district, Oxford. The village stands near the Oxford canal and the river Cherwell, 1¾ mile NW of Aynho r. station, and 3½ S of Banbury; and has a post office under Oxford. The ancient parish of Adderbury covered an area of 6,045 a. and included the townships of Adderbury East (2,058 a.), Adderbury West (1,160 a.), Bodicote (1,291 a.), Barford St. John (726 a.), and Milton (810 a.).
