Erika Zettner, PhD, is a certified audiologist (CCC-A) who specializes in hearing assessments, hearing aid fitting, evoked potential testing, and cochlear implant assessments, mapping and programming. As co-director for the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Audiology, Dr. Zettner provides clinical supervision and research field instruction for audiology students. She is a professor in the Otoacoustic emissions test (OAE) Measures sounds that the ear itself produces when tiny hair cells on the cochlea are stimulated. A probe with a sound-generating loudspeaker is placed in the ear canal. A microphone in the probe captures the sounds emitted from the cochlea.
