Ren Harvieu has today announced news of her long-awaited new album Revel In The Drama, due for release 3rd April via Bella Union. The album is a brilliant and bolder take on her timeless pop classicism, a compelling diary of a struggle with self-belief and a celebration of liberation and survival, seven years after her Top 5 debut album and having overcome a life-threatening injury. O n paper, 21-year-old Ren Harvieu is an unremarkable proposition: her debut album comprises Bacharach-flavoured MOR with titles such as "Forever in Blue" and "Walking in the Rain". But what It's safe to say Manchester singer songwriter Ren Harvieu has had her fair share of set backs. Having had her career put on hold by a terrible accident earlier this year she's more determined than ever to make her uniquely styled soul and jazz shaped mark on the music scene.
