The series ran for two seasons between 1979 and 1981, and the feature-length pilot episode for the series was released as a theatrical film[1] before the series aired. The film and series were developed by Glen A. Larson and Leslie Stevens, based on the character Buck The Buck Rogers helmet resembles a World War I flying helmet, made of leather it had a small radio antenna, earphones and a visor. The helmet was perfect for interplanetary travel. Sold for $.39 cents with a more deluxe version going for $1.00. Holsters sold for $.25 to $39 and complete combat sets ftom $.50 to $.89. AS impossible as it is for me to believe, Glen Larson's version of Buck Rogers in the 25 th Century (1979 - 1981) turns thirty-five years old this year..
