The Yakama Nation is a federally recognized Tribe, pursuant to the Treaty of 1855 (12 Stat. 951), with authority to manage, protect and restore treaty resources throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Yakama Nation's Fisheries Resource Management Program (FRMP) is tasked with managing and carrying out the deliverables for the Tribal Response Yakama Nation Fisheries is a program of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. The Yakama Nation has a traditional use area of over 11 million acres, where the Yakama People have hunted, fished, gathered, and practiced religious ceremonies since time immemorial.
