They are easy to keep clean and long-lasting because they are built of upcycled Texas industrial designer Debbie Glassberg built herself a 2,600 square feet home, for her and her family, out of five Chinese shipping containers and called it Container Home. The roof of Debbie's home features a garden and patio. Container homes are just one of Debbie's creative endeavors. She is an industrial designer who has worked as a toy designer and is a Matthew Kenney-trained raw food chef. Debbie's latest project, which she is calling Home Grown on 20th, catches momentum from the tiny-house movement. Debbie Glassberg of Home Contained in conjunction with BNIM Architects created this innovative Kansas City Shipping Container Home. This 2,600 square foot light filled home incorporates geothermal heating, soy plant foam insulation, passive solar heating and bamboo flooring.
