The Department of Biological Sciences at IISER Kolkata integrates cutting edge research with innovative teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, constantly striving towards academic and scientific excellence. Since its inception in 2006, the department has made its mark in biology research and teaching in India. Focusing on the BM was born in Howrah on 26th January 1987. He obtained his B.Sc. degree with honors in Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, the University of Calcutta in 2007 and an M.Sc. degree in chemistry from IIT Kanpur in 2009. ISER Kolkata invites applications from motivated students for admission to the Integrated PhD Programme for the Autumn 2024. This programme comprises of two years of Masters-level coursework followed by four years of dedicated research towards PhD. There may not be a provision of exiting the program with a Masters degree.
