On the site of a former quarry, there's a stunning natural escape a little way down the Wabash River from Logansport. France Park has all the hallmarks of a resort, with a gorgeous beach and facilities for a wide range of activities from scuba diving to fishing, disc golf (24 holes) and zip-lining. "The Logansport Story" provides an extensive history of Logansport, Indiana, detailing the city from its earliest settlement to its thriving present. It chronicles the arrival of Alexander Chamberlain as the first permanent settler, the establishment of key institutions like the Cass County Circuit Court, and the birth of the first business. The circular touches on the cultural and social Explore Downtown Logansport. Logansport, Indiana's downtown district extends from the confluence of the Eel and Wabash Rivers, east to 8th Street. Just as the two rivers that run through Logansport meet downtown, so do its residents and visitors. Once a destination along the Wabash and Erie Canal, then a busy railroad hub, Logansport is Logansport built its City Building in 1925, at a time when the city was flush with cash thanks to the railroads that ran through town. My research revealed nothing more about the City Building. It's too bad. It's a lovely building, lovelier than you'd expect in a city the size of Logansport. What I like best about the building is the Logansport is among the state leaders in preschool kindergarten, K-5 Spanish/English immersion, Advance Placement classes and career curriculum that includes an on-campus career center that was ranked by one New York organization as one of the top 10 high schools in the United States.
