A stumpery is a special garden that uses stumps, logs and pieces of wood to create a special environment for plants. The wood is as important, if not more important than the plants. Other new stumperies have appeared at locations like Sizergh castle, Cumbria, and Burnby Hall Gardens, Yorkshire.
