歴史. キングスカレッジロンドンは1829年にウェリントン公爵とジョージ4世により設立。 当時、男子学生、イギリス国教徒、貴族出身者のみに入学を許可していたオックスフォード大学やケンブリッジ大学に対し、人種、宗教などに関わりなく全ての人々に学問の門戸を開くために設立。 Passing through the Norman gatehouse of St Mary's Abbey, you can see the ruins of the abbey lying on the green on the left. The abbey was founded in 1088 and completed in the 14th century. In 1539 the abbey was dissolved and ruined.
