The 13:1 gears will most likely work but your reliability will lessen dramatically. 13:1 gears are fast but the bigger the spring, the slower gears will work. In the airsoft DM world trigger response is king. You will need a high voltage pack no lower than a 9.6volt ni-cad or similar or a high dicharge rate 7.4 volt li-po or better yet an 11.1 volt li-po which provide blistering trigger response in a very small package. Sound proofing. Soon i'm going to buy custom aluminium gearbox and first try guarder SP150 on full promy gearbox parts to achieve >500 fps. Cylinder is promy one for 550 ~ 451mm barrel. As for hop up I will buy several for comparisons. Promy soft, firefly hard, a studio 80, some flat hop up (Promy or Modify), and maybe r hop. And after tests use the best. So I'm wanting to build a DMR AEG off of the SR-25 platform and am wondering if a 6.01mm or a 6.03mm barrel would be better suited to the role? I'll be starting with a CYMA SR-25, which comes with a brass 6.03mm from the factory, and plan on upgrading the barrel and hop-up from the start.
