National Historic Landmark Building Will Reopen Nov. 13. April 21, 2015. News Release. The Renwick Gallery, home to the Smithsonian American Art Museum's craft and decorative arts program, will reopen to the public Friday, Nov. 13, following a comprehensive two-year renovation. The museum, located across from the White House at the corner of A huge new exhibition that celebrates the diversity of American craft is now on view at the Renwick Gallery. The massive display marks the 50th anniversary of the Smithsonian museum and presents an impressive spread of 171 works that weave through each room of the two-storied museum. About Robyn Kennedy Robyn Kennedy is a Chief Administrator, Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum at The Smithsonian Institution based in Washington, District of Columbia. Previously, Robyn was a Chief, Renwick Gallery at The Smithsonian Institution.
