Recently there has been a lot of interest in the 100 round Beta C-Mag. It is frequently seen installed on the Colt 750 LMG model. SAR covered the C Colt manufactured approximately 2,443 GX-5856/Heavy Assault Rifles. These rifles were given a serial number range of 750,000 to 752,443 (according to Colt Mfg.) The 606/Heavy Assault Rifle series of AR-15s were the first AR/M16 pattern rifles to be fitted with a heavy profile barrel. Rifling twist was 1 turn in 12 inches with a right hand twist. Of course you could buy three or four off the shelf 20" HBAR uppers for the price of a Colt LMG upper and rotate them. Or seal off the gas system and put a water jacket around the barrel and pound on it all you want. There is also the Titan piston upper. I bought two 14.4" for $650 each and two 10" for $750 each.
