Pettengill Farm is a nineteenth-century saltwater farm located on an estuary of the Harraseeket River in Freeport. The thirty-foot-square saltbox house sits on over 180 acres of fields and woods that are bounded by the river to the south and west, Flying Point Road to the north, and Kelsey Brook to the east. The Pettengill Preserve is located on the east side of the Point Road approximately one mile south of Route 1 ( Map 1 ). Property Description. The preserve consists of approximately 150 acres of mixed woodland. The boundary of the preserve is irregular, with a perimeter of 3.2 miles.
