Sessions Woods is a wildlife management area located on Route 69 in Burlington, Connecticut. Wildlife management areas are unique natural areas managed by wildlife biologists to provide habitat for wildlife. Sessions Woods consists of over 700 acres of habitat, including forests, fields, streams, and a beaver marsh. Sessions Woods Falls, Burlington. February 2014. The Connecticut Waterfalls 2013 guidebook notes that these falls are "south of Burlington ," which would mean Bristol. They are not in Bristol, I promise. Anyway, these falls are as far away from the Sessions Woods visitor's center as possible, which means you need to hike over a mile to Trail system in the Sessions Woods WMA. A good mix of rock and roots making for a fun time on the bike. Trails also connect to a number of other areas near by but also include road crossings. south on CT-8 S Take Exit 42 for CT-118 towards Harwinton/Litchfield Turn left onto CT-118 E/Litchfield Rd Continue into CT-4 E/Burlington Rd Turn Follow Route 8 North to exit 42 (Route 118 West). Take a right at the end of the exit. Follow Route 118 until it blends into Route 4 East. Follow Route 4 to Route 69. Take a right onto Route 69 South. Follow for approximately 3 miles.
