EL Fairmont Ghia V8. Intermittent starting problem. Sometimes she will fire up first go, other times she cranks and cranks but wont fire. Eventually it kicks a few times & either stalls or hunts for an idle speed. When running the engine is faultless. The only way to get her going when the fault occurs is to just hold the key on start and wait. Hi all, OK, it may seem like a lame attempt to turn my EL futura wagon into a Fairmont Ghia, but hey with the I have a 98 EL Ghia, with partial leather, which I prefer. EFII onwards also got the XR6 engine, with XR6 computer and transmission calibrations. They have the standard Ghia exhaust, so they drop a 3 kw. Dont have XR suspension as standard, was a $5000 option when new.
