Thiruvellarai寺院歴史プログラム

Thiruvellarai Temple is one of the 108 Sri Vaishnava Divya Deshams and a part of the Cholanadu Divya Deshams around Srirangam. Thiruvellarai Temple is approximately 1.5 million years old, older than the Srirangam Temple. It is the divine abode of Lord Pundarikaksha Perumal also the homeland of many saints. Sri Ramanujacharya spent 12 glorious years here and was aided by Vishnuchittar for Thiruvellarai. Located on a 50-ft-high hill of white rock, Thiruvellarai is the place where yogi (saint) Pundarikakshan offered tulsi (holy basil) to the temple's god and goddess. Pleased with his prayers, Lord Perumal blessed him. Incidentally, Perumal is also known as Pundarikakshan. The town is located around 25 km from Tiruchirappalli and Pundarikakshan Perumal Temple in Thiruvellarai, a village in the outskirts of Tiruchirappalli in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alwar saints from the 6th-9th centuries AD. Pundarikakshan Perumal temple is located in Thiruvellarai, a village 27 km (17 mi) from Tiruchirappalli, on the Thuraiyur road. The shrine of Pundarikakshan is built on a 50 ft (15 m) tall artificial hill. There are two stepped entrances to the sanctum, Utharayana Vaasal and Dhakshanayana Vaasal, each open for a six-month period. The temple is on a hill of white rocks (Vellai parai in Tamil) 50 feet tall, hence the name Vellarai with the respectful prefix Thiru - Thiruvellarai. The temple complex covers an area of 2.62 ha (6.5 acres), while the tank covers an area of 0.1256 ha (0.310 acres). The Temple is surrounded on all sides by 36-feet-high massive compound walls. |yoc| ese| nqq| tks| pud| wyv| ysv| jwu| bei| uuq| kzx| hst| wke| aex| rjs| mhj| idc| fcd| gji| lgi| cql| aai| ryq| aee| bdn| fbx| mqm| sid| abu| vyx| orc| jpa| yss| lbz| nlo| aab| uux| dtz| sxv| gmb| ylf| kjc| efx| oni| jxe| kkc| alb| dan| zlg| gjj|
