A Kenora OPP officer is in trouble with the law. Constable Steve Tetreault has been charged with assault stemming from an incident that took place back on June 21st. The 46-year-old officer was not on duty at the time. Tetreault is a 25-year veteran of the police service and is currently on leave. An investigation was initiated following an incident that occurred in Kenora on December 28, 2013. As a result of the investigation, the OPP has charged a 24 year member from the Kenora Detachment. He was not on duty at the time of the incident. Provincial Constable Steve TETREAULT, age 45, was charged with one count of Theft Under $5000. A Kenora detachment OPP officer was on the receiving end of the justice system at Ontario Court of Justice on Monday, June 6. Const. Steve Tetreault, 47, was sentenced to six months in prison for breach of trust and fraud by Justice Gustave Fitzpatrick.
